Almost on a daily basis, on Talk Radio Network’s The Savage Nation, nationally syndicated radio host Michael Savage (aka Michael A. Weiner) launches a tirade against Islam and Muslims. Such relentless attacks can only foster hate against and distrust of Muslims both in the workplace and elsewhere. Michael Savage rarely tolerates any challenge against his opinions, and when someone actually calls in, he often cuts them off (see audio example with respect to one Muslim caller at the bottom of this post). Here is a sample of some of Michael’s most memorable statements.
On April 17, 2006, Michael Savage/Weiner called for “kill[ing] 100 million” Muslims. Specifically, Savage told listeners that “intelligent people, wealthy people … are very depressed by the weakness that America is showing to these psychotics in the Muslim world. They say, ‘Oh, there’s a billion of them.’ ” Savage continued: “I said, ‘So, kill 100 million of them, then there’d be 900 million of them.’ I mean … would you rather us die than them?” Savage added: “Would you rather we disappear or we die? Or would you rather they disappear and they die? Because you’re going to have to make that choice sooner rather than later.” (Note from Rafik Beekun: killing 100 million Muslims would be the equivalent in magnitude to 16 times the Holocaust when the Nazis pitilessly put to death 6 million people of Jewish faith.)

The above statement is not the first Islamophobic one from Michael Savage. On June 24, 2004, on the same nationally syndicated talk show, he said, “I’d like to see them [Muslim extremists] hanging from lampposts in the entire Middle East. I’d like to see the Muslim world rise up en masse. … [T]hen I as an American will believe — and you know what I’ll believe? I’ll believe there’s a difference between the two. Not until then. Otherwise, until I see that day, that they’re strung up from lampposts, they’re lying to me. And that they’re really secretly getting off on these murderers, because they don’t have the guts to do it themselves. Okay, that’s when I’ll believe in the heart of hearts — when I see them hanging from lampposts, with their guts hanging out, then I’ll believe that there’s a difference between radical Islam and the rest of Islam over there. But if I don’t see that — if I don’t see the massive uprising against them, I can only assume that they’re the shock troops of all of Islam in the Middle East. How do you like that? That’s my opinion. I’m not George Bush running for office, and this message was approved by Michael Savage.”
On December 31, 2004, Savage was commenting on the tsunami that struck Southeast Asia. “You could argue, maybe this is God’s hand, because some of their brethren struck Christian America. Maybe God speaks the truth but waits. Seeks the truth and waits. I don’t know. You could argue: God struck them. Now, I don’t argue that because I’m not a theologian. Nor do I believe that God is omnipotent. I believe God is omnipresent. … I think what we’re doing is feeding our own demise. … I truthfully don’t believe in foreign aid.”

From the November 27, 2006 edition his talk radio show, Savage again states, “The Islamists smell weakness in the West, and are attacking us on several fronts at once: one, through outright war; two, through immigration; three, through their propaganda disseminated through the liberal media and four, through the liberal courts. Only a devastating military blow against the hearts of Islamic terror coupled with an outright ban on Muslim immigration, laws making the dissemination of enemy propaganda illegal, and the uncoupling of the liberal ACLU can save the United States. I would also make the construction of mosques illegal in America and the speaking of English only in the streets of the United States the law.”

From the November 28, 2006 edition of his talk radio show, Savage complains against Keith Ellison, the first Muslim elected to Congress: “Keith Ellison won’t swear to uphold the oath of office on the Bible, but on the Quran instead. This is unbelievable to me. So what’s next? A witch gets elected, and she says she’s gonna only be sworn in with her hand over a pentagram? Where does this end? Tell me when this ends, the tyranny of the psycho, whacked-out minority. Tell me when it ends.”

Even when a Muslim called into his radio show(on April 24, 2006), Michael Savage befuddles what he says. Listen to how Savage puts the caller down after the caller is off the air.
Here are a couple of self-explanatory audio/videos of Michael Savage:
1. Video title: Michael Savage aka “Mullah Mike”
2. Video title: Michael Savage on Radical Islam presentation (Part 1).
In the second video listed above, he associates the murderous criminals who slaughtered the innocent Berg with the remainder of the Muslims. Note: I would suggest that you do not go to Youtube.com to watch ‘Michael Savage on Radical islam (Part 2)’ since he shows an inappropiate video clip of a semi-nude woman in part 2.
Michael Savage Previously Fired For Anti-Gay, not Anti-Muslim Comments
In spite of his numerous Islamophobic and anti-Muslim comments, Michael Savage has been tolerated, and even encouraged by many in the USA. It is noteworthy that in July 2003, MSNBC fired Michael Savage for anti-gay comments. Here is a videoclip of the show after which Michael Savage was fired:
Unfortunately, Michael Savage has since found another home from which to launch his tirades. On March 1, 2007, Hollywood’s Creative Artists Agency fired Mike again for its anti-gay comments. Please click here to listen to the audio version of his lamentations.
Clearly, diversity matters with respect to some groups in the USA, but not when hate is directed at Muslims and Islam. Mchael Savage still has his talk show, and sadly he reaches 8 million listeners everyday. If you wish to protest against the above statements above, please write a polite and factual letter to:

Why can’t Michael Savage say what he wants? I mean, if a bunch of frenzied small-minded Muslims can loot and riot because of what was illustrated in a Danish newspaper, can’t one lousy small-minded Christian say what he wants to say.
Stop the cycle of hate. Hey Michael: be a part of the solution not part of the problem. I was born to into a Muslim and Christian household- so bite me. I’m descended from the 21st president of the United States but I have an Arabic name. I’m a Caucasian American, but I’m also an Arab. Opposite truths can simultaneously exist.
Or is this too deep for you and way over your head?
People like me are the face of the future so get with the program or be left behind. Religion doesn’t separate man- man uses religion to separate himself. Yes there are some sick hateful groups of Islamic Arab extremists but please don’t help create sick hateful groups of Christian American extremists, you see I can’t have it either way. There’s got to be another way of spreading awareness and ‘bewareness’ without spreading hate!

Michael Savage is an imbecile. Everyone knows this, so don’t sweat it my friend. The important thing to keep in perspective is that talk radio is for losers and the retarded.
Anyone can be a talk radio host; there is little required in the way of intelligence or talent when it comes to running one of these useless shows….

Myself being Muslim and do not listen to music have spent many hours listening to talk radio shows like Neil Bortz, Rush, NPR, and Savage. My favorite is Savage. Why? He is an entertainer. He is not as stupid or hateful as he sounds, he is actually pretty intelligent. His job is to keep people coming day in and day out. He knows what his halfwitted audience wants and he gives it to them. (Myself not included ofcourse. HaHA.) I don’t think he takes himself too serious and neither should we. If he was serious he’d lay off the booze, at least stay sober on the air. I could be wrong but I don’t think he is as hateful as he sounds. I think he is a Jew BTW.
The real Islamophobes are Rush, Bortz, Sean Hannity, and the worst of all Rusty Humphries in Orlando. Hannity and Humphries are probably Nazis.
