Amazing words from Mayor Koch who suddenly sounds like right wing extremists, Steve Emerson and Ann Coulter, labels “hundreds of millions” of Muslims as terrorists, and voices his support for profiling every Muslim who is flying. Should we profile every person of Jewish faith because of the past actions of the Jewish Defense League or every person who is Christian because of the Anti-abortionist bombings and murders on US soil? Clearly not. Mayor Koch should rethink his outrageous statements.

Ed Koch, the former mayor of New York City, told Fox News’ Neil Cavuto on Thursday that “hundreds of millions” of Muslims are terrorists.
Taking up the now-standard conservative political talking point, in the wake of the Christmas Day bombing attempt, that political correctness prevents the US from identifying Muslim terrorists as such, Koch said:
We’re afraid of calling them Muslim, Islamist terrorists. We’ll call them anything but. Because we don’t want to alienate Muslim countries. That’s ridiculous. Of course the vast majority of Muslims — there are a billion, four hundred million — are not terrorists, but there are hundreds of millions who are. They want to kill every Christian, every Jew, every Hindu who won’t convert. And we ought to put it on the table.
Host Neil Cavuto did not attempt to correct or even question Koch’s claim, and expressed his support for profiling every Muslim who is flying.

It is true that behind every mass movement or idea, an ‘ism’ is attached. This ‘ism’ is often coherent with the ideology of the followers or a name quoted by media. It is the media, who have reserved the word ‘terrorism’ exclusively for Jihadis! All others who are involved in such activities are given different ‘isms’ that either glorify their work or softens their acts of terror!
So terrorists in Jharkhand are called ‘maoists’ or ‘naxals’. Terrorists in the north-eastern states are called ‘militants’. Tamil terrorists in Sri Lanka are dubbed as ‘tigers’ while the Irish terrorists were ‘separatists’. Terrorists in Africa are ‘insurgents’, The Cuban terrorists were ‘rebels’, the Hungarian ones were ‘extremists’, the Chinese terrorists are ‘radicals’ and the American terrorists are ‘counter-insurgents’. The Israeli terrorists are ‘commandos’ and the communist terrorists are ‘revolutionaries’
