Nobel Peace Prize 2006 goes to Dr. Muhammad Yunus and Grameen Bank

Muhammad Yunus’s credo is simply this: “do good” without any expectation of profit. An amazing lesson for the profit-maximizing corporate giants of today.  As of 2006, he has changed the workplace environment of over 7,000,000 Bengalis who used to live below the poverty line by advancing them micro-loans through Grameen Bank.  His micro-lending model is now being implemented globally by the Grace of Allah. Please look up the description of his book, “Banker to the Poor”, under the Book Review section of this blog.
