Note to those Muslims who knowingly consume any product that may cause them harm:

The prophet (s) said, “Whomsoever drinks poison, thereby killing himself, will sip this poison forever in the Hell-Fire.”

Another legal proof is the Qur’anic verse in which Almighty Allah says:

Do not cause your own destruction” (2: 195)

Finally, The Prophet (s) said: “Leave that which makes you doubt for that which does not make you doubt. Verily, truth is tranquillity and falsehood is doubt.” [Sunan al-Tirmidhi and Sunan al-Nasaai – Hadith Sahih]

During this Ramadan,  people eating suhoor at the beginning of the day may consume 5 Hour Energy, but they do so at a risk–especially if they are someone with a heart condition or below the age of 18.

The FDA in November 2012 was investigating claims that 13 deaths are linked to 5-hour Energy. By the way, Monster Energy drink has also been linked to 5 deaths.
