A U.S. congressman is questioning Georgetown University over a $20 million gift from Saudi prince Al-Talal.

In his Feb. 14 letter to the president of Georgetown University, Rep. Frank Wolf (R-Va.) referred to a Washington Times report that in 2005 Prince Alwaleed bin Talal contributed $20 million to Georgetown’s Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding. Congressman Wolf then made the following query, “I write today to share with you my long-standing concerns about the influence and activities of the Government of Saudi Arabia both within its own borders, in America and around the world.”

Please note here that some blogs are gloating over this investigation, and have already labelled this donation as “wahabi money” or as “pimping”:

1. Rep. Frank Wolf Demands Explanation from Georgetown University About Use of Wahhabi Money.

2. U.S. Universities pimping for radical Islam in exchange for cash.

3. Congressman asks Georgetown about Saudi cash.
