EUMAP is currently undertaking a monitoring project on Muslims in EU cities. The project follows up on background research reports on the situation of Muslims in seven EU countries, which were published earlier this year. More information on the project is available by clicking here.
The current project will focus on the situation of Muslims in 11 major cities, looking in particular at the extent to which local policy addresses their specific needs, seeks to include them in the policy-making process and how social, economic and political needs of Muslim communities are addressed.
EUMAP is now seeking researchers and focus group coordinators for the ‘Muslims in the EU: City Reports’ project.
EUMAP is seeking RESEARCHERS (8) – For the monitoring project ‘Muslims in the EU: City Reports’
The selected researchers will carry out the research over a period of approximately 12 months (part time). In the first phase of the monitoring, the researcher will conduct interviews with key interlocutors. In the second phase, he will study the results of focus groups sessions that are convened and facilitated by a focus group coordinator, and study the 100 questionnaires per city that will have been organized and completed by the coordinator.
The researcher will be responsible for the preparation of the final paper, which will form part of EUMAP’s publication of a comprehensive series of reports on the 11 cities. The length of each final report is expected to be approximately 95 pages.
Each draft report will be edited by EUMAP editors and finalised jointly with the researcher. It will also be submitted to discussion during a round table composed of local stakeholders. A final draft will be prepared following the round table and, after additional editing, will become the final report.

EUMAP is seeking FOCUS GROUPS COORDINATORS (11) – For the monitoring project ‘Muslims in the EU: City Reports’
Over a period of four months, the selected coordinators will be responsible for establishing, facilitating and collecting information from six target focus groups per city. This is to be followed by the selection and supervision of 10 interviewers to conduct and ensure the completion of 100 questionnaires.
