A new tactic is currently being used by opportunists who claim to have been practicing Muslims. They publicly renounce Islam, or offer themselves as reformists. Often with little or no knowledge of the religion, they proceed to attack Islam, and by so doing, accumulate fame and fortune. This short talk by Hamza Yusuf exposes this new threat to Islam and Muslims.
To counter the ‘apostate-now-Islamic-expert’ industry, here is a video that clarifies Islam’s position on apostasy and, if properly understood, would pre-empt those opportunists who wish to make a quick dollar at the expense of Islam and Muslims:

Would you consider Robert Spencer or Daniel Pipes propogandists?
The people in the video I’ve never seen before except the older gentleman at the beginning, and I search for opinions on Islam from any credible source.
My wife thinks I’m wasting my time, but I feel myself, slowly but surely, gaining ground in understanding the teachings of Mohammed and the motivation for a modern day military jihad that leads the evening news worldwwide.
Thanks for providing material that I may consider in my search.
